Garnet Var. Spessartine with Topaz – Location: Thomas Range, Juab Co., Utah. Here we have an exceptional cluster of spessartine garnet crystal form the Thomas Range. The garnet crystals are medium sized crystals from this locality and the crystals are well formed and sharp and have a dark reddish-brown color along with a glassy luster. The garnet has topaz associated with the specimen. The garnet crystals from the Thomas rage are a mixture of almandine and spessartine with a dominance of spessartine. (garnettopaz03)
