The garnet crystals are medium sized crystals from this locality and the crystals are well formed and sharp and have a dark reddish-brown color along with a glassy luster. The garnet crystals from the Thomas rage are a mixture of almandine and spessartine with a dominance of spessartine. (garnettopaz05)
