Here we have a most unusual and aesthetic specimen of bright gemmy red spessartine garnet. This is a complete crystal that has a somewhat tabular habit and shows multiple faces that are oriented in a somewhat parallel growth. The crystal is otherwise well-formed and sharp and has a beautiful red color and is gemmy and has a bright glassy luster. This is a most unusual habit for this species of garnet.
