Description
Shattuckite & Malachite – Location: Okatumba Koakofeld Plateau, Namibia. Miniature (see photo for more details). Here we have an attractive and colorful specimen of the bluish colored copper silicate, Cu5(Si2O6)2(OH)2, shattuckite on matrix along with some dark green colored malachite from Namibia. The shattuckite occurs as bluish colored crystal aggregates and they have a ‘matt-like’ to almost silky luster. There are also some radiating crystals of dark green colored fibrous malachite.
