Prismatic Vanadinite & Calcite – Location: San Carlos Mine- San Carlos Mun. Manuel, Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico. Large Thumbnail to small Miniature (see photo for more details). Here we have something new; we have an attractive specimen with prismatic vanadinite crystal along with gemmy calcite crystals from Mexico. The vanadinite crystals are well formed and sharp and form lustrous red to reddish-orange colored prismatic crystals (longer than wide). There are also numerous sharply formed gemmy colorless calcite crystals; the calcite crystals are lustrous.
